ROBB REPORT RECOGNISES AUSTRALIA'S MOST EXCLUSIVE RESORTS
One of the USA's most prestigious luxury travel magazines has voted Voyages Lizard Island and Voyages Longitude 131 the most exclusive resorts in Australia.
The much anticipated (and respected) "Robb Report Luxury Resorts" issue recognises the 100 best luxury resorts in the world as judged by editorial staff and feedback from hundreds of writers, readers and experts in luxury travel.
The two Voyages properties were the only two Australian resorts to make the 100 best.
According to Robb Report editor Bruce Wallin, the judging criteria is based on first hand experiences.
"All of the properties on the Luxury Resorts list share at least one characteristic: the ability to provide a superior vacation experience," he said.
"When people talk about a great vacation, they don't mention the look and feel of the bathroom tiles. Instead, they talk about the setting and about the experience -- and invariably that means service. The common thread for all of the properties is the experience."
Exclusivity, Mr. Wallin further explained, is another hallmark of the 100 properties selected for this special issue. "You will see some of these resorts in popular surveys, but we also included a number of resorts that most people don't know about, and some of these places work hard to make sure people don't know about them. They cater to a very small, select group."
