Monday, 15 September 2008

Two Voyages properties won awards on Wednesday night at the 2008 HotelClub Awards in a red-carpet presentation in front of 300 travel industry members at Sydney's Entertainment Quarter.

Voyages Cradle Mountain Lodge was named one of the Top 2 Hotels in Tasmania and Voyages Sails in the Desert Hotel, Ayers Rock Resort, was voted one of the Top 2 Hotels in the Northern Territory.

The HotelClub Awards are driven by travellers with first-hand experience and are voted upon by 70,000 consumers world-wide who select their choice of best hotels in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

Anna Guillan, Voyages Executive General Manager Sales & Marketing said: "We are absolutely delighted to have won these awards. It's an honour that we have been recognised in this way by guests who have enjoyed their holidays with us."

It is the second year running that Cradle Mountain Lodge has been named one of the Top 2 Hotels in Tasmania, also winning Best Country Hotel at the 2007 HotelClub Awards.

Cradle Mountain Lodge is a wilderness retreat nestled high in the Tasmanian wilderness and on the edge of the World Heritage Listed Cradle Mountain - Lake St. Clair National Park, while Sails in the Desert Hotel is Voyages' premier hotel at Ayers Rock Resort, named after the soaring white sales that crown its roof.
