Indigenous Training & Employment
Voyages aims to grow the Indigenous workforce across all it's properties and the Corporate Office. We have several strategies in place to recruit, retain and develop Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees. One of the key strategies to build the Indigenous workforce is providing industry recognised, accredited, enterprise based training through Voyages National Indigenous Training Academy.
INDIGENOUS TRAINEESHIP PROGRAM
The Indigenous Traineeship Program commenced in 2011 and provides accredited training to meet the needs of the tourism and hospitality industry. Qualifications can range from a Certificate III in Hospitality, Certificate III in Tourism, Certificate III in Retail or Certificate II in Horticulture.
Trainees are employed by Voyages while undertaking their traineeship and live in dedicated accommodation to support them living and working in Yulara. Trainees are supported both on and off the job to ensure their success in the program. Trainees who successfully complete their qualifications are guaranteed ongoing employment with Voyages or within the wider tourism industry with Voyages employment partners. The National Indigenous Training Academy also offers leadership programs to develop Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees working at Ayers Rock Resort. The Step Up Program provides accredited supervisory training and the Indigenous Future Leaders program provides accredited management training.
Indigenous Traineeship Program intakes occur around every six weeks and trainees are recruited locally and from across Australia.

VOYAGES INDIGENOUS ALUMNI
The Voyages Alumni offers Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees and graduates of our National Indigenous Training Academy an opportunity to stay connected to the people they kick started their careers with.
We know our employees and trainees join Voyages because of the unique opportunities and experiences offered through working at our iconic tourism destinations. We also know they joined because of our commitment to Indigenous people and their employment.
As an Alumni you remain part of the Voyages family with membership allowing the Alumni community to share experiences and memories, as well as their achievements long after leaving our employment, showcase career development opportunities and take-up benefits and discounts.
Are you a Voyages Indigenous Alumni? If you are a former Voyages' Indigenous employee or a graduate from the National Indigenous Training Academy we’d love to hear from you, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
