A gourmet extravaganza rated among the countries best food and wine experiences; a 3-day festival celebrating the finer things in life - a chance to celebrate the very best in Tasmanian produce.
From degustation dinners to cooking demonstrations; fresh produce market to wine tastings; wilderness walks to decadent spa treatments at the famous Waldheim Alpine Spa, Tastings at the Top encompasses the very best Tasmania has to offer. Discover the full Tastings at the Top programme.
The event will be jointly hosted by Peter Bourne who is regarded as "The Wine Man" and Helen Waterworth a cheese consultant. Both Peter and Helen share an intimate knowledge of Tasmanian produce and are extremely enthusiastic and highly entertaining.
A unique selection of marketplace providores include boutique winemakers, beer brewers and specialist growers from various regions in Tasmania. Allow us to tantalise your taste buds by listing the providores for 2008.

- Arrive at Voyages Cradle Mountain Lodge and settle into your room
Afternoon
- Enjoy welcome drinks with your fellow Tasmanian food and wine lovers
- Taste and tipple your way around the marketplace. Enjoy mingling with the providores including boutique winemakers, beer brewers and specialist growers from various regions of Tasmania
- Tasmanian wine tasting session with the wine makers from the marketplace
Evening
- Join us for a tantalising five course dinner in the Highland Restaurant
Day 2, Sunday 22nd June 2008
Morning
- Tastings of the Alpine Spa. Sample a taste of the Award winning Waldheim spa treatments
- Morning at your leisure. Why not indulge in a spa treatment at the Waldheim Spa
Afternoon
- Cheese and game meats producer lunch
- Wine Tasting with Peter Bourne or cooking demonstration with Helen Waterworth. (The program is repeated tomorrow allowing you to participate in both activities).
- 'Meet the Maker' mingle
Evening
- Sumptuous buffet dinner in the Highland Restaurant
Day 3, Monday 23rd June 2008
Morning
- Morning at your leisure. Why not take one of many scenic walks and soak up the beauty of this pristine region
Afternoon
- Producer lunch featuring seafood
- Wine Tasting with Peter Bourne or cooking demonstration with Helen Waterworth
- Wine Trivia session
Evening
- A spectacular Gala dinner will be served in the Highland Restaurant showcasing the very best of Tasmanian produce
- Dinner will be followed by drinks in the Tavern and entertainment
