Voyages Tourism Australia requires 4 workers to work within our Hotel Maintenance Department as a Handyperson handling minor repairs, general maintenance tasks, and assist with preventive upkeep to enhance the overall guest experience located in Yulara, NT.
The day-to-day duties may include:
You will be required to use tools and equipment such as motor vehicle, hand and power tools, lawn mower, gardening tools, leaf blower, hedge trimmers, work individually and in a team with others, and have the ability to work quickly and with accuracy.
The work is physical, and you may be required to work in a harsh desert environment with temperatures that range from 12 to 45 degrees Celsius.
You will be employed on a full-time basis of $29.53 per hour under the terms and conditions of the Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia Pty Ltd Enterprise Agreement 2016 (Resort Worker Level 3A) and receive a minimum of 38 hours per week.
The work is usually performed between the hours of 06:00 to 23:00, Monday to Sunday as this role requires shift work, weekends and Public Holiday’s.
Work is expected to commence on or around May & June 2026 for a period of 4 years.
Experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. Successful candidates may also have the opportunity to learn and acquire additional skills during their employment.
Candidates should be motivated and be able to learn quickly.

- Carry out all related maintenance and repairs as requested by the Maintenance Manager in a professional-like manner.
- Minor repairs, reprogramming, service and fault finding to guest room air-conditioning units, hotel lightening and electronic door locks and room safes
- Ensure all hotel areas, including guest rooms, offices, conference and function areas, and external areas to the property are maintained and cared for on a timely basis as directed by management
- Be responsible for the maintenance and security of all tools provided
- Carry out all preventative maintenance as per the schedule laid down by the programmed
