People & Culture Manager
Are you ready for a once-in-a-lifetime experience?
Ayers Rock Resort is searching for a People & Culture Manager to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT, just a 20‑minute drive from Uluru, one of Australia’s most iconic and culturally significant landmarks.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced human resources professional seeking a challenging and adventurous change. You will live and work at Ayers Rock Resort, taking responsibility for the entire township — from the Airport and IGA to the Hotels, Campground, and all Employee Accommodation.
If you thrive on building strong relationships, supporting managers, and enjoy a role that is highly rewarding and never the same day twice, then this opportunity is for you.
We strongly believe the role of People & Culture is to enable People Managers to manage their teams confidently and effectively. This includes providing clear expectations, practical processes, and coaching leaders to build capability and accountability.
This isn’t a typical People & Culture role. Living and working in this remarkable location offers a unique perspective of Central Australia. Our goal is to provide meaningful employment opportunities for local communities and to empower a growing Indigenous workforce. We are deeply committed to Closing the Gap and are seeking someone who shares these values and wants to be a genuine driver of change.
Who We're Looking For
We’re seeking a senior, approachable, and highly organised HR Manager to join the Ayers Rock Resort team. You will partner closely with business leaders, internal teams, and external stakeholders to promote fairness, consistency, and positive people outcomes across the resort.
This is a true generalist role with a strong hands‑on focus. This is a dynamic and fast‑paced environment, and this role offers continual opportunities to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact.
The ideal candidate:
The highlight of this role is working with a diverse workforce and contributing to a truly unique and iconic tourism destination — where you wake up to breathtaking sunrises and fall asleep under vast desert sunsets and the Milky Way Stretch.
You’ll enjoy discounted accommodation, tax benefits, resort discounts, on‑shift meals, relocation assistance, and access to a staff pool, gym, and Residents Club. Your induction includes an Anangu‑guided tour of Uluru and a cultural dot painting workshop. During your downtime, you can explore the Red Centre and enjoy enriching experiences found nowhere else.
We're Committed to Your Growth
We’re committed to supporting your development. After one year of service, you’ll be eligible for incentives including rental discounts, a $700 vacation bonus, and resort vouchers for your work anniversary. We also offer development opportunities and attendance and performance incentives for high‑performing team members.
This isn’t just a job. It’s an experience — one that will leave you with memories to last a lifetime.
A National Criminal History Check is a mandatory step in the recruitment process.
