Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia is owned by the Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation (ILSC) and manages tourism and resorts on their behalf. We offer experience-based holidays in spectacular wilderness locations in the Red Centre in the Northern Territory, in the East Kimberley of Western Australia and at Mossman Gorge in Tropical North Queensland.
Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia has a strong commitment to social responsibility, all profits from all business activities go towards supporting Indigenous training and employment across Australia.
We are focused on providing guests with enriching, memorable experiences which they would not be able to enjoy anywhere else in Australia. We are also committed to nurturing and sharing Australia's sensitive and complex eco and cultural destinations and also to protecting them so that our guests can continue to enjoy them for years to come.
It is critically important to us that we address local needs and concerns - at Voyages the social and environmental contracts we have created are not an option, they are vital way of life for us as a company and for our partners.
Can You Give Examples Of Your Environmental Initiatives?
We are a recognised leader in sustainable environmental tourism practice. We are committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Through a series of initiatives across our properties we are focusing on energy management - reducing electricity consumption and LPG usage - and waste management techniques to reduce disposal to landfill. We also focus on efficiently managing our water resources and protecting biodiversity - native flora and fauna.
How Do You Interact With The Local Communities In Which You Operate?
At Voyages, we take seriously our commitment to support and empower the local communities in which we operate.
Our focus is on local needs and issues where we feel we can genuinely make a difference. Our approach is not boiler plate but rather is tailored to each specific location.
