Accounts Receivable Officer
Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia is on the search for an innovative and outcomes driven Accounts Receivable Officer who also has a passion for process improvement and enjoys working collaboratively across the business.
Our finance team prides themselves on being a partner with our key stakeholders by providing real-time, accurate and meaningful financial information designed to drive strategies and commercial decisions which maximise value, manage risk and future-proof the organisation.
The Accounts Receivable Officer works alongside and for the Credit Manager collectively responsible for management of the Voyages Debtor ledger with an emphasis on collection of aged and outstanding monies. Based in Sydney, the Accounts Receivable Officer will liaise with operational personnel at other sites, as well as corporate office associates.

The Accounts Receivable Officer works alongside and for the Credit Manager collectively responsible for management of the Voyages Debtor ledger with an emphasis on collection of aged and outstanding monies. Based in Sydney, the Accounts Receivable Officer will liaise with operational personnel at other sites, as well as corporate office associates.
This role will see you:
- Maximise the company's financial position through the timely collection of all debts.
- Liaison with Customers and follow up on any outstanding issues. Maintain appropriate record of debtor call history.
- Investigate all claims and in the case where errors exist, promptly follow up to ensure that each account is maintained correctly and remains within the Voyages company trading terms.
- Monitor potential problem accounts and advise the Credit Manager.
- Ensure dispatch of duplicate folios and vouchers when required.
- Liaise with Reservations and Sales department to resolve any variations or discrepancies in rates and packages
- 12 months experience in an accounts receivable role
- Strong administration and organisation skills
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and assist in driving implementation
- Self starter with a proactive approach, a solid work ethic and the ability to perform under pressure
- Flexibility to modify work methods to meet changing customer needs within the parameters of established procedures and practices
- Experience in high volume low value collections
- Experience within Work day, Opera and Materials Control
- A background in hotel/hospitality operations is well regarded but not essential.
