Who we’re seeking? 

A jack of all trades who enjoys being busy and hands on. We can assure you that no two days are the same from carrying out maintenance of the aerodrome grounds, building facilities and undertaking bird and wildlife management to ensure our grounds are safe and free of hazards. 

You will need to have operations of plant and experience with hand & electric tools / wielders (basic) / chainsaws / bitumen products / paint machine / tractor / slasher / roller / backhoe / grader and a strong ability for mechanical and manual work. 

You will carry out administration in the form of preparing correspondence, daily records and inspection sheets on matters relating to airport operation. We have strong requirements for this role and all applicants must have:   

  • Northern Territory Open Drivers Licence 

  • Ability to obtain Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)

  • Ability to obtain Radio Telephone Operator Certificate of Proficiency   

  • Ability to obtain an Employee (Corporate) Firearms  

  • Undertake pre-employment medical testing and obtain negative result for Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD); and maintain negative results throughout employment,  as per CASR 1998 - Part 99 and Ayers Rock Airport Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP);

Your role will:

  • Ensure food preparation, cooking and presentation are in accordance with accepted standards of quality

  • A passionate chef with extensive background within a similar large kitchen operation gained within either a Restaurant, Events or quality Hotel environment

  • Professionally trained chef with completed Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
  • Flexible and adaptable individual willing to work as part of a larger kitchen team

To provide overall operation and monitoring of CCTV and alarm systems as part of Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia commitment to resort safety and security

Key Responsibilities:

  • To use CCTV equipment proactively and to its optimum level to help to identify persons of interest and provide high quality evidence to assist in the detection and deterrence anti-social behaviour and crime;
  • To capture, process, log accurately and help to provide data (evidence) to stakeholders to ensure the safety and security of Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia is maintained;
  • To maintain and ensure up to date logs, reports and records are produced accurately and promptly covering all activities involving CCTV within the control room;
  • To operate the CCTV system in accordance with Voyages CCTV Policy and associated procedures, SOPs and any other instructions issued from time to time;
  • Undertake periodic audits of CCTV equipment, duress alarms and other systems to ensure all are operating at their optimum levels.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

 

  • Basic understanding of Data Protection and Human Rights;
  • Understanding of and experience in the operation of CCTV surveillance systems in public space;
  • Significant experience in security or other related service;
  • Experience in working in a busy operational focussed workplace

Enhancing the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within Ayers Rock Resort. We have a strong focus on Indigenous Employment and this role works closely with the National Indigenous Training Academy as well as all employees across the resort.

As this role is extremely vital within on wellbeing team, we have strong requirements for this role and all applicants must have: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, including current membership with or eligibility to obtain membership with the AASW
  • Significant (10 years plus) experience working therapeutically with clients with complex challenges including complex trauma, mental health and alcohol and other drugs in both a group and individual setting.
  • Work within a supportive, trauma informed SEWB framework
  • Proven experience in applying a range of evidenced based counselling modalities to respond
    appropriately to diverse client needs (ACT, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy etc)

Training Coordinator

Your role will:

  • Train and assess the current Certificate III in Hospitality
  • Manage and coordinate the effective and efficient delivery of all NITA programs

You will have:

  • Experience in effectively communicating with Indigenous Australians and a knowledge and understanding of their culture
  • Hold a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40110 with TAEASS502 & TAELLN401
  • High levels of understanding of the VET industry and adult, strength-based learning
  • Working rights in Australia with no restrictions and/or Australian Permanent Residency and/or Australian Citizenship
  • Manual Class C Driver's License
  • Ability to get a Queensland Driver's Authorisation
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a cross cultural and complex environment
  • Passionate and hardworking, with an enthusiastic yet empathetic persona
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently as required
  • Good time management and self-organisational skills
