Nature's Employer

Voyages is an Australian travel company providing experience-based holidays in spectacular wilderness locations including the Red Centre, Tasmania's Central Highlands, Queensland's Outback and the Great Barrier Reef.

We operate award-winning properties such as Longitude 131°, Lizard Island, Ayers Rock Resort, Kings Canyon Resort, Bedarra Island, Silky Oaks and Cradle Mountain Lodge.

We are singularly focused on providing our guests with incredible, memorable experiences - not hotel stays - which they would not be able to enjoy anywhere else in Australia.

The same is true for our employees.

"Returning to Australia from working abroad for several years, I wanted to join a successful Australian company with opportunities for career development and travel. Voyages met those criteria and more. Since joining the company I have strengthened my career in hotel management, firstly as an Assistant Manager, then moving to Assistant Executive Housekeeper at the Outback Pioneer Hotel, then onto Executive Housekeeper at Alice Springs Resort. Now, I have transferred to Ayers Rock Resort as the Front Office Manager of the Outback Pioneer Hotel. Voyages is certainly committed to the development of team members."
- Bradley Molyneux, Front office Manager, Outback Pioneer Hotel

"Voyages has given me the chance to experience life in both Topical North Queensland and the Red Centre, while developing my career in Front Office. I have made life long friends and had great experiences to take with me forever."
- Alastair Underwood, Receptionist, Outback Pioneer Hotel

"I can't believe that while all my colleagues from Hotel School are working in chaotic Sydney, I get to live and work in paradise, where days off are like holidays!! "
- Megan Philippa, Receptionist, Dunk Island

When you join the team at Voyages you will realise an outstanding opportunity to work with a dynamic, fast growing company and gain extensive hands on experience across a wide range of fields in the tourism and hospitality industries.

Our training programs and appraisal systems form a key component of your technical skill development and personal growth. This is coupled with cross training opportunities which allow for multi-skilling and movement across departments. After six months employment, team members are eligible to apply for a transfer to another Resort to further their careers.

In addition to providing employment and career opportunities in traditional hospitality roles such as housekeeping, food and beverage and front office, the remote locations of our resorts mean that there are also opportunities in non- hospitality related roles. Voyages requires team members with skills and qualifications in a range of maintenance and trade areas such as plumbing, mechanics, carpentry and electrical, in various retail roles and in health services such as nursing.

Boasting the greatest number of spa treatment rooms within Australia there are significant career opportunities for massage, spa and beauty therapists throughout our portfolio.

With the range of interpretive activities on offer at various Resorts we also look for sports activity officers, dive instructors and nature guides.

Voyages also operates the Australian Marine Experience - as such, employment openings are often available on passenger, dive and freight vessels.

Management training is another opportunity open to our employees. Voyages Management Traineeship offers a select number of talented employees the opportunity to accelerate their career. This intensive 18-month program entails working in a wide variety of positions learning the detailed operations of each department within a Resort.

At Voyages you will also enjoy a lifestyle that includes working and playing in some of Australia's most desirable ecotourism environments - some of them located in the heart of designated World Heritage sites or National Parks. Imagine being able to snorkel the Great Barrier Reef, take a camel ride at sunset to Uluru or mountain bike at Cradle Mountain in Tasmania on your day off.

You can also become involved with programs such as Green Guardians or the Mutitjulu Foundation which illustrate Voyages' commitment to nurturing and sharing Australia's sensitive and complex eco and cultural destinations and also to protecting them for generations to come.

We offer competitive remuneration packages, staff accommodation, discounts at food/beverage and retail outlets, attractive staff and family holiday accommodation rates and the opportunity to experience the tours as our guests see them.

In short, working at Voyages will give you an unsurpassed opportunity to "Revive Your Wonder" and bring a new direction to your career.
