Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

This will see you provide electrical-related installation, maintenance and repair works to all trade equipment and other relevant equipment across the Resort as needed. This provides you with an opportunity to work on diverse machinery as our Technical Services team are the trades people of Yulara. You will have the opportunity to become a true specialist in the field as the closest contracting partner is 5 hours away! 

We are extremely committed to the safety of our employees, guests and community who visit town, this also needs to be a strong focus of you too! As our town is spread across a large range of land, an Australian Open Driver's License is required for all our trades roles. 

Key Duties  

  • Comply with all reasonable instructions given in the interests of Health and Safety by your management team and Workplace Health and Safety Department representatives.
  • Carry out all necessary repairs and maintenance as required;
  • Alert the Electrical Supervisor about any electrical equipment found wanting or in which improvements can be made; and
  • Maintain accurate records in the preventive maintenance schedule and other relevant documents.

This role will see you improve the quality, timeliness and awareness around business performance and outlook to improve the quality of associated decision-making at strategic and operational levels across the business.

Key duties:

  • Developing financial and strategic plans, working closely with the leadership team
  • Modelling scenarios and developing business cases to support investments and other business decisions
  • Business owner of BI tools ensuring data integrity, appropriate integration between systems, efficient business use and continuous improvement

To be successful for this role you will have:

  • 10+ years in Finance roles with relevant associated responsibilities
  • CPA or equivalent accounting professional qualification

This will include Voyages Touring within the confines of Uluru and Kata Tjuta National Park as well as assisting in the Tourist Information Centre. 

This role requires a Full Australian Drivers Licence

Key Duties  

  • Be an ambassador to the cultural elements on not only the Department but to Voyages Indigenous Tourism as a whole 
  • Welcoming to guests and visitors to the resort from various demographics

About the NITA

The NITA Residential Support Manager at Ayers Rock Resort supports up to 80 trainees in dormitory-style accommodation whilst they complete their training. Our NITA Residential Support Manager is the key operational leader of our program. About the role
The NITA Residential Support Manager provides operational leadership to the NITA Residential Team and Program based at Ayers Rock Resort. The role supports the social, emotional, spiritual and cultural wellbeing of Indigenous trainees working and living at Ayers Rock Resort, with the goal of developing skills to thrive in life, maintaining employment and completing their traineeship.

The key duties of the role include:

  • Program leadership: Design and deliver the NITA Residential Program to create environments, opportunities and structures that support young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to successfully complete their traineeship and achieve strategic outcomes of NITA. 
  • Team development: Strategically and actively develop performance and capacity within a team of people with clearly defined roles and work plans to enhance the social, emotional, spiritual and cultural wellbeing of trainees.
  • Stakeholder relationships: Establish, maintain and grow effective working relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally to effectively deliver strategic outcomes that meet the aims and objectives of the NITA program. 

About you
You are an experienced professional in the community services sector. You understand the unique and diverse strengths and challenges facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, with a willingness and capacity to listen and learn.

Key Duties

Patrolling, watching, guarding and protecting VITA people and infrastructure including responding to alarm call outs (Fire/Security). These tasks may be undertaken on foot or in a vehicle.  
  • Provide access control for resort zones controlling the movement of persons, vehicles, gods/property coming out of or going into the zones, monitoring and recording description and quantities if required and ensuring appropriate identification/level of authority, are produced. Ensuring any unauthorised personnel on site are reported to management.  
  • Utilise a range of electronic equipment in the performance of their duties.

Who We're Looking For
We are in search of an experienced trainer to join our team and help us deliver the Certificate III in Hospitality for our National Indigenous Training Academy (NITA) program. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills and possess a thorough understanding of Indigenous Australians and their culture. If you are passionate about training and changing lives, then we want you on our team, as we take training very seriously!

Key requirements for the position include:

  • Holding a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40110 with TAEASS502 & TAELLN401
  • Possessing a Certificate III or IV in Hospitality, or higher
  • Having 3-5 years of experience in hospitality within a VET and/or RTO setting within the past 6 months

Wellbeing Support Worker | Ayers Rock Resort

he National Indigenous Training Academy (NITA), based at Ayers Rock Resort, is searching for a Wellbeing Support Worker to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT which is 20 min drive from Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic and culturally significant landmarks.


About NITA.

The NITA Residential Program at Ayers Rock Resort supports up to 80 trainees in dormitory-style accommodation whilst they complete their training. As a Wellbeing Support Worker you will ensure that every trainee in the Academy feels a sense of connection, safety and pride, but most importantly feels at home during their residence and trainee journey.

Our team of Wellbeing Support Workers seek to establish strong relationships with every trainee, providing a supportive and encouraging environment that begins with recruitment and orientation into the program, through to the celebration of their achievements and success at Graduation.

NITA wellbeing support workers are the heart of our team with their primary purpose to be attentive to wellbeing needs of trainees and further to role model pride and responsibility in the upkeep of residential facilities and amenities. We are looking for an enthusiastic team member dedicated to promoting the values of education and a strong work ethic whilst also seeking daily opportunities to strengthen spiritual, personal, social and emotional wellbeing of trainees.
 

About the role
The NITA Wellbeing Support Worker supports the social, emotional, spiritual and cultural wellbeing of Indigenous trainees working and living at Ayers Rock Resort, with the goal of developing skills to thrive in life, maintaining employment and completing their traineeship.

The key duties of the role include:

  • Relational & practical support: coordinate practical support (for example, transport to medical appointments) to assist trainees in meeting their needs.
  • Facility management: undertake 'daily tasks' to enhance and maintain the presentation and operation of the residential facility.
  • Activities delivery: design, plan and deliver culturally safe activities to enhance the social, emotional, spiritual and cultural wellbeing of trainees.
  • Mentoring: provide mentoring to support trainees to successfully complete their traineeship and achieve their personal and professional goals.

 

About you
You are passionate about supporting young adults achieve their goals. You understand the unique and diverse strengths and challenges facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, with a willingness and capacity to listen and learn.

A minimum Cert IV Community Services or Cert IV Youth Work qualification is required for this role. Due to working with young adults and working with vulnerable people check will need to be obtained before starting with us

Responsibilities 

  • Be the first point of contact for employees in the WHS office, offering excellent customer service.
  • Assist injured workers with workers' compensation paperwork and claim lodgement, supporting them in obtaining necessary appointments.
  • Manage 1st aid orders and supplies efficiently.
  • Coordinate internal audit activities and inspection schedules for enhanced safety compliance.
  • Update WHS noticeboards to keep the workforce informed.
  • Assist in administrative functions related to Health and wellbeing, Workers' Compensation, and Work Health and Safety.
  • Collaborate with the WHS Manager to conduct Risk Assessments, Safe Operating procedures, and maintain registers.
  • Ensure accurate minutes are taken at all WHS and Workers Compensation meetings.

Key Criteria 

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based management systems.
  • Possession of a current unrestricted driver's license.

Work Health & Safety Responsibilities 

  • Prioritize safety by complying with all Voyages WHS Policies, Procedures, and guidelines.
  • Use personal protective clothing and equipment (PPE) appropriately.
  • Report hazards and participate in accident/incident investigations.
  • Engage in the return-to-work process following injury/illness.
  • Maintain equipment in good condition and report malfunctions promptly.
  • Complete all required WH&S briefings, inductions, and training sessions within set timeframes.
